Elk Creek Alpacas

Elk Creek Alpacas, alpacas, Taylorsville, Kentucky, Spencer County and the Louisville metropolitan area near Louisville. Lisa Revard and Raymond Revard are committed to maintaining high standards of care and have been breeding alpacas for several years with registrations through the Alpaca Owners Association. They perform annual veterinary health checks, routine vaccinations, and hoof trimming and follow a selective breeding program to maintain strong bloodlines. Their herd grazes on open pastures and receives daily socialization from birth to promote calm temperaments.

Visitors often remark on the softness of the fleece and the alpacas’ gentle disposition. Their focus on fiber quality has led to fleece prized by local artisans and crafters for its luster and durability. Each spring they host an educational open day showcasing fiber processing and husbandry practices. They shear each alpaca annually and offer guidance on fleece selection and preparation.
