Emelise Alpacas

Emelise Alpacas raises alpacas in Hampton, NJ, Hunterdon County and the Delaware Valley near Trenton. Susan and Wayne Robinson have been working with alpacas for over a decade, guided by Alpaca Owners Association standards, and maintain registrations with national breeding associations to ensure traceable lineage.

Each alpaca lives in pasture-based paddocks with access to three-sided shelters, receives daily handling sessions to encourage gentle temperaments and early socialization, and benefits from a nutritionally balanced diet overseen by a local veterinarian familiar with fiber animals. Health testing includes annual fleece sampling, dental assessments and regular parasite screenings to support long-term well-being.

The farm has hosted educational tours, where visitors of all ages learn about alpaca behavior and fiber production. Several breeding animals have won prizes at regional fiber shows, highlighting the farm’s dedication to producing soft, uniform fleeces.
