Harvey Farm

Harvey Farm, Scottish Highland cattle, Shelby, OH is a family-run operation in Richland County and the North-Central Ohio region near Mansfield. Owner Trisha Harvey has bred these hardy cattle for more years than she can recall, adhering to American Highland Cattle Association standards and joining regional Ohio Cattlemen’s Association gatherings. The herd grazes rotationally across more than 80 acres of mixed grass and clover pastures, with shaded stream banks for shelter and natural foraging.

Herd health includes routine hoof trimming, annual vaccinations and digital pregnancy checks, all recorded to maintain traceability and genetic quality. Animals are handled daily in a climate-controlled barn to build calm temperaments and reduce stress. Calves remain with their mothers well past weaning age, fostering strong social bonds and supporting natural growth rhythms.
