Littledove Farm

Littledove Farm raises Shetland sheep in Fisherville, KY, serving the Bluegrass region near Louisville. With years of experience, Beryl Baker maintains registration with the North American Shetland Sheepbreeders Association and follows routine health screenings for parasites and hoof care.

Each spring, lambing takes place under close observation, allowing early intervention and nurturing of newborns. Lambs then grow up in small family cohorts and receive supplemental minerals and vaccines based on veterinary guidance to support natural growth. The flock grazes on rotating pastures and shelters in a well-ventilated barn, with daily handling to encourage calm temperaments.

The farm’s soft fleeces are sought by local fiber artists for spinning and felting, prized for fine texture and natural color variations. Littledove Farm began as a small homestead project and has gradually expanded while retaining a family-oriented approach. Beryl emphasizes ethical husbandry and sustainable land management across her homestead operation.
