Mountain M Farms raises Limousin cattle in Crossville, TN on the Cumberland Plateau near Knoxville. Jason Mast has managed the herd for more than a decade, maintains American Limousin Association membership and follows recommended genetic and health testing protocols. Its cattle graze rotationally across open pastures, receive routine hoof and veterinary care, and calves are gently acclimated to handling from an early age.

The farm emphasizes low-stress management and strong maternal lines prized for consistent growth rates, feed efficiency, and calm temperament. Each year, selected bulls and heifers undergo ultrasound and EPD evaluations to support sustainable herd improvement. Living close to the land, the team balances modern breeding insights with traditional farm practices to produce robust stock well-suited for both commercial and small-scale operations.

Calving takes place in sheltered barns with clean bedding rotated regularly, helping ensure strong starts for newborn calves. A strict pasture rotation schedule supports soil health and ensures high-quality forage year-round.
