Mulberry Woolies, Shetland sheep, Pierz, MN, in central Minnesota near St. Cloud, raises a flock focused on healthy, social animals. The flock grazes on managed pastures with rotational grazing to support sustainable land use and optimal nutrition. Lambs are handled daily from birth to ensure a calm temperament and accustomed to gentle human interaction. Shetland sheep at Mulberry Woolies are selected for their hardiness and fine fleece, prized by local fiber artists. During winter months the animals are sheltered in a well-ventilated barn with fresh straw bedding and constant access to hay. Ongoing collaboration with a local veterinarian ensures preventive care and swift treatment.
