Hilary Gietzen offers professional sheep shearing out of Minot, North Dakota, serving flocks across the Upper Midwest not far from Bismarck. Gietzen also shears alpacas, llamas, and Angora goats, and works year-round with travel available throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Minnesota.

With more than four decades in the trade, starting back in 1978, Gietzen has built a route of roughly 300 regular customers and typically shears around 160 head a day, working solo to keep travel and scheduling efficient. Equipment on hand includes portable chutes, wool packers, and wool presses, along with wool sacks available for purchase. Flocks handled have ranged from single animals to operations numbering in the tens of thousands.
