Cottonwood Creek Farm

Cottonwood Creek Farm raises Oberhasli and Alpine goats in Wasilla, AK, in the Matanuska Valley near Anchorage. Suzy Crosby has bred dairy goats for more than a decade and holds active membership in the American Dairy Goat Association. Each doe receives annual health screens for parasites and metabolic wellness, and detailed records accompany every kid from birth onward.

Kids spend their first months on rotational pastures shaded by cottonwood and birch, with daily gentle handling to encourage calm, social temperaments. Does have access to a custom-built loafing shed with natural light, straw bedding refreshed weekly, and clean spring-fed water. Feed consists of locally milled, GMO-free grains, organic hay in winter months, and mineral supplements balanced for lactation.

Since 2009, the family-run farm has maintained Swiss bloodlines, and several offspring have placed in district-fair competitions. Suzy emphasizes low-stress handling techniques and regular hoof trimming to support long-term soundness.
