Arizona Wood Cockroach
Parcoblatta notha
The Arizona wood cockroach is a relatively large, pale Parcoblatta from the southwestern United States. Males have full wings, while females have shorter wings and a broader outline. Specialist collectors maintain colonies with woodland cover, loose organic substrate, ventilation and sheltered moisture. Females produce egg cases. It resembles other wood roaches, so locality and the fine characters used in taxonomic keys matter more than color alone when identifying stock.
