Asian Fawn Tarantula
Chilobrachys huahini
The Asian fawn tarantula is a Thai species traded as Chilobrachys huahini. Its brown coloration is understated, but it builds extensive silk around a ground-level retreat. Experienced keepers provide a secure, ventilated enclosure with deep, moisture-retaining substrate for burrowing and drinking water. Offer appropriately sized insects and allow it to retreat undisturbed. It is fast and defensive, so avoid handling. Females lay eggs in a silk sac.
