Translucent
Translucent is a captive-bred morph of the central bearded dragon, Pogona vitticeps, named for skin and scales that look less opaque than those of a normal dragon. The effect is easiest to see in hatchlings, which may have a blue-gray belly, glassy-looking sides, and very dark or nearly solid eyes. Adults usually look more subtle as the skin thickens, but the eye and scale traits often remain noticeable. Translucent is commonly bred with color and scale projects such as citrus, orange, red, hypo, dunner, and leatherback.
Care is the same as for other bearded dragons: strong visible light, high-quality UVB, a defined basking area, and a diet that shifts from insect-heavy for juveniles to more greens for adults. The morph itself should not excuse weak structure, poor appetite, or stunted growth. People buying for breeding need clear information on whether the animal is visual translucent, a heterozygous carrier, or part of a combined project such as hypo trans, because appearance alone can be misleading.
