Bengal Sacred Langur
Semnopithecus entellus
A long-tailed leaf-eating monkey of India, with gray-brown upperparts, pale underparts and a black face framed by whitish fur. This is the Bengal species, rather than every gray langur formerly grouped under the same name. Zoo primate teams provide secure social accommodation, elevated routes and a diet suited to leaf-eating monkeys. Females give birth to live infants. US primate-import restrictions apply; US ESA and CITES Appendix I protections also apply.
