Bilunate Roach
Ischnoptera bilunata
The bilunate roach is a small, slender tropical cockroach maintained by specialist breeders. Adults have long wings and can both climb and fly, while the tiny young shelter among leaves and moss near the ground. Colonies are kept on rich organic substrate with leaf cover, a moist retreat and fine, secure ventilation. Females lay egg cases rather than giving birth to live nymphs. Its small size makes gaps in lids and vents particularly important to check.
