Mexican Copperhead Tarantula
Bonnetina minax
The Mexican copperhead tarantula is a Mexican species traded as Bonnetina minax. Its copper-colored carapace contrasts with darker legs that can show a blue sheen. Keep the scientific name and breeder records, because common names are not reliable identification. A secure, ventilated ground-level enclosure should provide substrate, a sheltered retreat and drinking water. Offer appropriately sized insects and avoid handling. Females lay eggs in a silk sac.
