Unknown Morph

Unknown Morph

Unknown morph is a practical label for a Burmese python whose color or pattern genetics have not been confidently identified. The Burmese python, Python bivittatus, is a very large constrictor from mainland Southeast Asia, and captive lines include albino, granite, green, labyrinth, tiger, axanthic, caramel, and other combinations. An unknown animal may be a normal-looking snake, a visual morph with unclear ancestry, or a snake carrying hidden traits that cannot be proved by appearance alone.

Care is the same as for any Burmese python: secure, escape-resistant housing, strong heat gradients, suitable humidity, and feeding on appropriately sized whole prey. Adult size and strength make this a species for experienced keepers with safe handling routines. For breeding, unknown morph animals should be recorded plainly and not sold as het albino, het granite, or any other genetic claim unless test breeding or reliable history supports it.

Colors: Albino, Albino Green, Albino Tiger, Axanthic, Caramel Albino, Caramel Tiger, Granite, Green, Green Tiger, Het Albino, Het Granite, Labyrinth, Leucistic, Normal/Wild Type, Sunset, Sunset Tiger, Tiger, White Phase
