Cheetoh
Created from Bengal and Ocicat lines, the Cheetoh is a newer domestic cat breed project focused on a large, muscular, spotted cat with a confident household temperament. Its name refers to the cheetah-like impression of its coat, not to cheetah ancestry. Patterns may include spots and rosettes in brown, charcoal, and related tabby colors, depending on the registry or breeding program. Because the Bengal is part of its background, the breed also has distant Asian leopard cat ancestry through established Bengal lines.
Cheetohs remain uncommon, and recognition varies among cat associations, so documentation matters more than the name on an advertisement. A buyer should ask about pedigree, generation background, health screening, and how kittens are raised in the home. These cats are typically active, social, and physically strong; they do best with climbing furniture, daily play, and secure containment rather than free roaming. Coat care is simple, but energy management is not. Local housing rules may mention Bengal-derived or hybrid-descended cats, so checking them before acquisition is sensible.
