Neva Masquerade
The Neva Masquerade is the colorpoint form of the Siberian cat, named for the masked look of its darker face, ears, legs, and tail. It carries the sturdy Siberian body, triple coat, rounded contours, and expressive blue eyes created by the point pattern. Depending on the registry, it may be treated as a Siberian color division or discussed as a related breed variety. Seal, blue, red, cream, tortie, and lynx point patterns can all appear.
Neva Masquerade care is essentially Siberian care with colorpoint considerations. The coat needs seasonal grooming, especially during heavy shedding, and the cat benefits from climbing space and active household engagement. Point color can deepen with age and temperature, so young kittens may look much paler than adults. Breeders should be clear about registry rules, Siberian lineage, and health screening. Claims about low-allergen cats should be made cautiously, because individual human reactions vary even within the same breed.
