Toybob
The Toybob is a very small domestic cat breed that began in Russia in the late twentieth century and is sometimes called the Russian Toybob. It has a compact, balanced body, large expressive eyes, and a short kinked or curved bobtail that is present from birth. Unlike dwarf breeds, Toybobs are meant to be proportionate rather than shortened in the legs. Coats may be short or semi-long, with colorpoint, tabby, solid, and bicolor cats seen depending on registry and line.
Because the breed remains rare, buyers usually need to verify registration, parent health information, and whether kittens are being bred for sound structure rather than extreme small size. Toybobs are generally kept as indoor companion cats; their size makes safe handling and household supervision important around dogs, young children, and high furniture. Routine cat care applies, including dental care, nail trims, play, and weight monitoring. Semi-longhaired Toybobs need light combing, while shorthaired cats are low-maintenance.
