Ukrainian Levkoy
The Ukrainian Levkoy is a rare experimental domestic cat breed created in Ukraine in the early 2000s, combining the hairless Donskoy type with folded-ear cats related to the Scottish Fold. Its look includes little to no coat, loose skin, a long angular head, prominent cheekbones, almond-shaped eyes, and ears that fold forward in many individuals. It is not widely accepted by the largest cat registries, so recognition and standards vary by country and club.
Care centers on the same issues seen in hairless and folded-ear cats. Skin can accumulate oils and needs gentle cleaning, and these cats need protection from cold, heat, and strong sun. Folded ears require regular inspection, and buyers should ask detailed questions about cartilage and joint health in the line because the fold trait is associated with welfare concerns in cats. Ethical placement favors indoor homes, experienced owners, and breeders who avoid doubling up risky traits.
