Sibi Bhagnari
Sibi Bhagnari cattle are a large zebu breed from Pakistan, associated with the Sibi area of Balochistan and the Bhagnari or Bhag Nari tract. They are usually white to grey, with a prominent hump, loose skin, strong bone, and powerful quarters. Traditionally the breed was valued for draft power, especially where heat, dry conditions, and long working days favored tough local cattle. Bulls can be especially impressive, while cows are kept for calves, household milk, and maintaining working or beef lines.
The breed suits hot, semi-arid environments better than many temperate cattle, but good management still depends on shade, reliable water, and enough feed during dry seasons. Large mature size makes calm handling, strong yards, and attention to feet and legs important. In Pakistan and neighboring regions, Sibi Bhagnari cattle may be used for draft, beef, local breeding, and crossbreeding, but conservation-minded herds try to retain the breed's heat tolerance, strength, and local adaptation. Buyers should consider whether they need heavy working type, breeding stock, or animals suited to meat production.
