Centurion Roach
Gyna centurio
The centurion roach is a colorful African Gyna maintained by specialist breeders. Adults have red to mauve markings on the head shield and wings, with females darker than males; the young remain hidden in the substrate. Colonies need warm, well-aerated moist substrate, shelters and varied food. Females retain their egg cases and release live young. Flying, climbing adults require a tight lid. Its reddish markings contrast with the blue-gray chrome roach.
