Indian Violet Tarantula
Chilobrachys fimbriatus
The Indian violet tarantula is an Indian burrowing species with violet tones on the legs and a contrasting patterned abdomen. It builds extensive silk, sometimes covering much of its enclosure. Experienced keepers provide a secure, ventilated setup with deep substrate for a retreat, some retained moisture and drinking water. Offer appropriately sized insects and leave it undisturbed during molts. Avoid handling this quick, defensive spider. Females lay eggs in a silk sac.
