Venezuelan Dwarf Beauty Tarantula
Cyriocosmus leetzi
The Venezuelan dwarf beauty tarantula is a small species recorded from Colombia and Venezuela. Its reddish-brown carapace has a black head area and seven dark radial spots. Pale lengthwise leg stripes and lateral abdominal stripes linked to a central U-shaped hair patch distinguish it from the unstriped C.
aueri and C. giganteus. It is also sold as the Colombian dwarf tarantula. Hobbyists keep it singly with diggable substrate, a secure retreat and water. Avoid handling and defensive hairs. Females lay eggs in silk sacs.
