Ghost
Ghost is a corn snake morph usually produced by combining anerythristic and hypomelanistic traits, softening both red pigment and dark pigment. That pairing usually creates a pale gray, tan, or muted lavender-looking snake with reduced contrast compared with a normal corn snake. Individual appearance changes with age, line, and lighting, so ghost animals may range from cool silver tones to warmer washed-out browns.
For keepers and breeders, ghost corn snakes are managed like other corn snakes, with secure housing, steady heat gradients, appropriate prey size, and careful shed monitoring. The special work is genetic rather than husbandry. Breeders should know whether a snake is visually ghost, het for one component, or part of a more complex combination, because pairings can produce several outcomes. Clear records prevent confusion with similar pale morphs such as anery, hypo, lavender, or multi-gene projects.
