Masque
Masque is a corn snake morph or pattern modifier associated with changes to the head pattern, facial markings, and often the belly pattern. It is not simply a color morph; its effect is most noticeable in how markings are arranged and reduced, especially around the face and ventral checkering. Masque can be subtle by itself and is often discussed in breeding projects where it modifies the look of other morphs.
People buying or breeding masque corn snakes should look at clear photographs of the head, sides, and belly, because the label can be harder to confirm than bold color traits. Husbandry remains standard corn snake care, but breeding records matter. A snake sold as masque should have known parentage or visible expression strong enough to support the claim. When combined with diffused, hypo, anery, or other morphs, masque can help produce cleaner patterns but may also make identification less obvious.
