Corsac Fox
Vulpes corsac
This small fox inhabits Central Asian steppe and semidesert. It has sandy-gray fur, a pale chin, large pointed ears and a bushy tail. It shelters in burrows and hunts small animals, especially rodents. Zoo carnivore teams provide secure accommodation with digging space and covered retreats. Females give birth to litters of live pups. US possession rules depend on the state; Florida's Class III wildlife system covers species outside its named Class I and II lists.
