Pinstripe
Pinstripe is a crested gecko morph category marked by raised cream or light-colored scales running along the edges of the dorsal area. Full pinstripes show strong, continuous lines from shoulders toward the tail base, while partial pinstripes have breaks or shorter stretches. The trait can appear with harlequin, flame, dalmatian, and many color lines, so pinstripe describes a structural pattern rather than a complete color identity.
Crested gecko keepers often like pinstripes because the dorsal lines make the animal easy to identify and compare over time. Care remains focused on stable temperatures, humidity, climbing cover, and gentle handling, since the morph does not change basic needs. Breeders should evaluate continuity, contrast, body structure, and how the pattern develops as juveniles mature. Tail status, head shape, and health should carry as much weight as a clean stripe when selecting future pairs.
