Cyclosternum schmardae

Cyclosternum schmardae

Cyclosternum schmardae is a tarantula recorded from Colombia and Ecuador, sometimes traded under the label Yellow Banded Birdeater. Its original description records dense coffee-brown to olive hairs; traded spiders need reliable breeder and locality records for identification. Provide a secure, ventilated ground-level enclosure with substrate, a sheltered retreat and drinking water. Offer appropriately sized insects and seek species-specific advice. Avoid handling. Females lay eggs in silk sacs.

Colors: Wild Type
