Bolivian Dwarf Beauty Tarantula
Cyriocosmus perezmilesi
The Bolivian dwarf beauty tarantula is a small spider from Bolivia. Its reddish-brown carapace lacks a black head patch, and the upper legs are reddish brown with black ends. A shiny reddish central patch and four lateral stripes mark the dark abdomen. This differs from the unstriped C. aueri and C. giganteus. Hobbyists keep it singly in a secure enclosure with diggable substrate, a hide and water; wild animals use silk-lined retreats under cover. Avoid handling and defensive hairs. Females lay eggs in silk sacs.
