Dipteretrum hanstroemi

Dipteretrum hanstroemi is a small South African cockroach maintained by specialist collectors. Adult females are reddish and reduced-winged, while males are orange with full wings; the young are darker. Captive colonies use warmth, high ventilation and a limited moist retreat alongside drier areas. Adults shelter under cover and can climb, so secure enclosure edges are important. Females lay egg cases. It is also traded as Hanstrom's little runner.
