Morkie
A Morkie is a Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier cross, usually bred as a small companion dog with a silky or softly textured coat. Because it is a hybrid, not a fixed breed, puppies can lean toward the Maltese side, the Yorkie side, or fall somewhere between them in size, color, coat texture, and confidence. The name is useful shorthand only when the breeder or rescue is clear about the actual background.
Morkies need the same practical care as other small, coated companion dogs. Grooming should prevent mats around the ears, legs, and harness areas, and dental care is often important from an early age. Some are bold and terrier-like, while others are softer lap companions, so training and socialization should fit the individual. Buyers should avoid size extremes and ask about patellas, teeth, eyes, and parent health rather than relying on the designer label.
