Four-Lined Tree Frog
Polypedates leucomystax
This adaptable Asian treefrog is bred by amphibian hobbyists. Adults may be tan, gold or brown, often with dark lines along the back and bars on the legs. Keepers provide tall planted enclosures with branches, cover, ventilation, clean water and varied insect prey. Females lay eggs in foam nests above water; the tadpoles drop into the water as they hatch. Unlike true flying frogs, it lacks their extensive webbing and skin flaps, despite sometimes being sold under flying-frog names.
