Glowspot Roach
Lucihormetica subcincta
The glowspot roach is a burrowing Lucihormetica bred for its striking adult markings. Adults are mostly black, and males have two conspicuous yellow spots on the head shield; the maroon young look different. Colonies need organic digging substrate, sheltered moist retreats, ventilation and varied food. Females retain their egg cases and release live nymphs. The common name describes the spots, which should not be assumed to produce light. Adult appearance overlaps other Lucihormetica.
