Kinder
The Kinder goat is an American dual-purpose breed developed from Nubian and Pygmy ancestry. It is smaller than standard dairy goats but more dairy-shaped than a Pygmy, with does valued for rich milk and kids that carry useful meat qualities. The combination can produce compact, efficient goats for homesteads, small farms, and families that want milk without managing a full-size dairy breed.
Kinder management should balance dairy and meat goals instead of letting one erase the other. Does need careful feeding through lactation, sound udders, and enough body capacity to kid and milk well, while bucks should contribute width, fertility, and calm handling. Because the breed depends on documented crossing and later selection, registration and generation records are useful. Buyers should look for balanced structure, not just small size or a familiar parent breed name.
