Koean Goose
The Koean goose is a poorly documented domestic goose name and may represent a regional East Asian or Korean-type goose label rather than a widely standardized breed. Published descriptions are limited, so the safest reading is a local farm goose population whose appearance and performance depend on the source flock. Some East Asian geese show swan-goose influence, including an upright carriage, long neck, or knobbed bill, but those traits should be confirmed in actual birds sold under the Koean name.
Prospective keepers should treat Koean geese as rare or uncertain-origin stock and ask clear questions about parentage, adult size, egg numbers, and temperament. Housing and feeding needs are those of domestic geese: daily grazing where possible, supplemental feed in poor weather or during lay, clean water for normal bill and eye care, and strong fencing against predators. If a flock is being maintained for preservation, avoid casual crossbreeding and document where each breeding bird came from.
