Vištinės Goose

The Vištinės goose is a Lithuanian domestic goose associated with the Vištytis area and with local farm production in the Baltic region. It is a heritage type shaped by cool weather, grazing, and household usefulness, usually valued for meat, eggs, and the preservation of regional livestock diversity. As with many landrace geese, appearance can include ordinary domestic goose colors, while the real identity rests in ancestry and local breeding history.
