White Norman Goose
The white Norman goose is a French regional goose associated with Normandy, an area with a long history of pasture, orchards, and farm poultry. It is generally described as a white domestic goose kept for table use and traditional production rather than for elaborate markings. Regional French geese often carry value through local management history, body type, and adaptation to farm systems, not simply through color.
White Norman geese should be managed with space to graze, clean water for bathing and preening, and shelter from prolonged wet weather. Breeders preserving the type should keep notes on source, pairings, hatchability, and mature size so the line is not confused with any ordinary white goose. For buyers, the key questions are whether the flock has Norman origin, whether it is bred toward a recognized standard, and whether the birds remain useful, healthy, and consistent across generations.
