Unclassified Morph
An unclassified-morph green tree python is a Morelia viridis whose locality type, designer line, or color category has not been assigned. This can happen with imported history that is incomplete, captive animals from mixed collections, or snakes whose adult color does not clearly match a known label. Because green tree python names are often tied to both geography and selective breeding, guessing from appearance can mislead future keepers.
Care should be precise even when the label is not. Green tree pythons need secure arboreal enclosures, stable perches, good ventilation, a warm basking area, suitable humidity cycles, and quiet handling. Unclassified snakes should generally be kept out of locality-pure breeding projects unless documentation later clarifies their background. Photos through color change, shed records, feeding history, and parent information can all make the animal easier to manage and describe honestly.
