Hercules Baboon Tarantula

The Hercules baboon tarantula is a Nigerian species originally described from Jebba on the upper Niger. The described female was large and dark olive brown, with a gray silky sheen and hind legs no thicker than the front pair. A hobby label alone does not confirm this identity; keep reliable stock and locality records. Species-specific captive care is poorly documented. Seek specialist identification and husbandry advice, use secure housing and avoid handling. Females lay eggs in silk sacs.
