Blue Foot Baboon Tarantula

The blue foot baboon tarantula is a small South African species with sky-blue feet and the leg segments just above them. Its beige-brown abdomen has dark bars and spots. In lightly wooded habitat it builds silk-lined retreats beneath rocks and logs, sometimes closed by a thin silken trapdoor. Experienced keepers provide a secure, ventilated enclosure with diggable substrate, shelter and drinking water. Avoid handling. Females lay eggs in a suspended silk sac.
