Incurious Smooth Roach
Symploce incuriosa
The incurious smooth roach is a small Symploce maintained in specialist colonies. Both adult sexes have full wings, unlike the short-winged females of the smooth cockroach. Some adults develop a rich orange color. Colonies use warm, ventilated housing, organic substrate, leaf shelters and a moist retreat, with varied food. Females lay egg cases. Adults can climb, and males can fly, so a tight lid and fine ventilation mesh are important for containment.
