Iridescent Blue Tarantula
Lasiocyano sazimai
The iridescent blue tarantula is a Brazilian species whose dark legs and body show blue tones in suitable light. It is now placed in Lasiocyano, while many older hobby records use Pterinopelma sazimai. Keep reliable breeder records rather than relying on a blue trade label alone. Provide a secure, ventilated ground-level enclosure with substrate, a sheltered retreat and drinking water. Offer appropriately sized insects and avoid handling. Females lay eggs in a silk sac.
