Peruvian Giant Blonde Tarantula
Lasiodorides polycuspulatus
The Peruvian giant blonde tarantula is traded as Lasiodorides polycuspulatus. Adults have a greenish-gold carapace, dark upper legs and paler lower legs with fine stripes. Color changes with age and molts and cannot establish identity; a 2021 revision clarified the group. Keep breeder records. Experienced keepers provide secure, ventilated ground-level housing with substantial substrate, a retreat and drinking water. Feed insects, allow safe molting space and avoid handling. Females lay eggs in silk sacs.
