Rainwater Albino
Rainwater Albino, also called Las Vegas Albino, is one of the established recessive albino strains in leopard geckos. Rainwater animals lack normal black pigment and often show softer yellow, pink, brown, or lavender-gray markings, depending on line and combination traits. The strain is genetically distinct from Tremper Albino and Bell Albino, so two geckos from different albino strains may produce normal-looking offspring carrying separate recessive traits rather than albino young.
Keepers manage Rainwater Albinos like other leopard geckos, while providing shaded retreats and avoiding harsh light that may bother albino eyes. Breeders need to keep the strain name attached to pairings, because mixing albino strains without disclosure creates confusion for future projects. Rainwater can be combined with eclipse, snow, pattern, or tangerine lines, but those combinations should be described plainly. For pet buyers, feeding response, weight, clean sheds, and calm handling are more important than the exact shade of albino color.
