Reverse Stripe
Reverse stripe leopard geckos are pattern-focused animals with markings arranged differently from ordinary banded or spotted geckos. Instead of a clean stripe along each side or a typical broken body pattern, a reverse stripe often shows a dark line or connected markings along the center of the back, with lighter areas falling to either side. The effect can be crisp in some line-bred animals and much less tidy in others, especially when combined with jungle, albino, snow, or tangerine traits.
The morph label does not change care needs, but it does make photography and honest description important. A reverse stripe can blur into jungle or striped patterns as a gecko grows, so hatchling and adult photos are helpful for breeding decisions. Keepers should still judge the animal by body condition, feeding, sheds, and temperament. Breeders selecting for reverse stripe patterns usually pair for consistency over several generations rather than assuming every visually similar gecko will reproduce the same dorsal pattern.
