Magnificent Emerald Roach
Pseudoglomeris magnifica
The magnificent emerald roach is an Asian cockroach known for its metallic green to blue-green sheen. Captive stock includes animals from northern Vietnam. It lives on bark and branches, and females shelter young beneath their bodies. Unlike some related roaches, it cannot roll into a ball. Colonies need textured climbing surfaces, humid but well-ventilated air and varied food. Females release live young. Older sources call it Trichoblatta magnifica; the current accepted genus is Pseudoglomeris.
