Marona Tree Snail
Partula affinis
The Marona tree snail is a small arboreal snail native to Tahiti. Its ovate to conical shell varies in color and banding, so appearance alone is not a reliable identification. It is maintained in coordinated zoo conservation breeding programs, with reintroductions on Tahiti. Partula snails bear live young. Specialist care uses humid, clean, well-ventilated housing, climbing surfaces and a carefully prepared diet with calcium.
