Natal Red Duiker
Cephalophorus natalensis
This small forest antelope has a chestnut-red coat, a bushy forehead crest and short horns that may be partly hidden by the hair. It browses leaves and fruit in eastern and southern African woodland. Zoos keep it with dense cover and quiet retreat areas, taking care with territorial adults. Females bear live calves. The current Mammal Diversity Database places it in Cephalophorus and includes Harvey's duiker; the portrait shows a Natal red form.
