Pale-Bordered Field Cockroach
Pseudomops septentrionalis
The pale-bordered field cockroach is a small southern North American species maintained by specialist breeders. Its colorful adults visit flowers during the day, unlike the dull brown young that shelter in ground cover. Colonies use warm, ventilated housing with organic substrate, leaf shelters, varied food and a moist retreat. Females lay egg cases. Adults climb and fly, so fine vents and a secure lid are essential for containing this active species.
