Clean-Legged Spot Swallow Pigeon
The clean-legged spot swallow pigeon is a marked fancy pigeon in the swallow family, a group often built around pale bodies set off by colored wing shields. The spot form has a smaller colored head mark rather than a broader full-head marking, and the legs are free of the long muffs seen on some related German and Saxon types. The pattern can appear in several standard pigeon colors, so placement and sharpness matter as much as shade.
Loft care is straightforward for experienced fancy-pigeon keepers: secure housing, dry perches, nest bowls sized for domestic pigeons, grit, and a balanced seed or pellet ration. Because this variety is judged visually, breeding programs focus on pairs that keep the wing shield even and the head spot clean without losing vigor or parenting ability. Clean legs reduce breakage and mud staining, but show birds still need bathing opportunities and protection from damp litter.
